Short stay in Porto

May 20, 2023Porto, Portugal

For our first wedding anniversary, Gizem & I travelled to Porto. Its colorful & narrow winding streets are super beautiful, and the Luis I bridge that overlooks the Douro river is very impressive! We stayed for a few days and took an Airbnb in the Ribeira district, right next to the river, and it was great. Breakfast was also amazing, I love breakfast generally speaking, and the people of Porto impressed me with their breakfast skills. It was the week-end of the "Dia de Marinha" (I'm guessing, days of the navy) and got lucky enough to see a three-masted barque!

We got a (little) tipsy in an Irish pub. We thought of the Irish people and friends that we made there.
